Norma Salcedo joined the team last April and has enjoyed being back in sunny California. She is currently a Residence Life Coordinator for Vista De Las Estrellas and the Center for Regenerative Studies. Norma graduated from the University of Kansas where she received her M.Ed in Higher Education Administration and her bachelors in Social Sciences from Cal State University, San Bernardino. Aside of her RLC duties she co-facilitates the Service Learning Course for the Ethnic & Women’s department. The diversity among the student, staff, and faculty is among one of the many reasons why she loves Cal Poly Pomona. She also helps continue the ongoing support of all students at CPP by being involved in the AB 540/Dreamers Campus Committee and being the department’s liaison for the Asian & Pacific Islander Student Center. Outside of work Norma enjoys spending time with family, working out, cooking, hiking, and watching her favorite TV shows.
Angie recently graduated from USC where she received her Master’s in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs and completed her undergraduate work at California State University, San Bernardino. Angie is the Residence Life Coordinator for Palmitas Hall here at CPP. Her hobbies include Zumba, hiking, shopping, Disneyland, and spending time with family.
Christy Orgeta is currently our Interim Assistant Director for Residence Life. She has been at Cal Poly Pomona since Fall 2010. Christy is originally from San Diego, California and currently lives 15 minutes away from CPP in Upland, CA. Christy currently supervises three Residence Life Coordinators and oversees UHS’s College Themed Communities and Academic Initiatives. Christy’s favorite thing about CPP? The people. A close second? Los Olivos Chocolate Chip Cookies.
